Please join us Virtually or In-Person at the historic Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts in the beautiful City of Chicago — the childhood home of Richard Schmid and the place where his artistic journey first began. For the first time in history, 36 masterworks painted by Richard Schmid at the Palette & Chisel will be reunited and exhibited together in the very place they were created. Honoring his profound legacy, the exhibition also features paintings by The Seven Legendary Artists—Clayton J. Beck III, Scott Burdick, Romel de la Torre, Rose Frantzen, Daniel Gerhartz, Nancy Guzik, and Susan Lyon – each with a distinct voice and vision, while their works carry Schmid’s spirit of forward.

Attend In Person (Chicago!)
Opening weekend events begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 2nd, and conclude Sunday late afternoon, October 4th.
A General 3-Day Weekend ticket includes all the events scheduled over the course of the 3-days, except for the Private Collectors’ Preview (a special event for VIP guests only). For an additional fee, attendees may opt to come a day early to attend one or more of the Extra Optional events scheduled for Thursday, October 1, or one of three Open Studio Sessions being offered throughout the weekend. Space is limited so be sure to register early to secure a space.
IMPORTANT – Registration for all in-person events will be handled through Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts.

Cost: $85 Early Bird Rate through April 1, 2026 • $125 After April 1, 2026
If you are unable to join us in Chicago this October 2026, we have you covered! Attendees will be able to watch all four painting demonstration sessions taking place on Saturday & Sunday LIVE from home. Zoom attendees will receive a replay link to rewatch the painting demonstrations through the end of the year.
IMPORTANT – Registration for On-Line (Zoom) attendees will be handled through the Richard Schmid Fine Art Foundation.
