RS FOUNDATION
The Richard Schmid Fine Art Foundation (RSFAF) is dedicated to preserving the living legacy of American master painter and author Richard Schmid. Our mission is to advance Richard’s educational and artistic spirit of excellence and generosity through his art, vision, and philosophical ideas on creativity—with inspiration and joy worldwide!
“Art has the power to do good”
Richard Schmid
Richard’s artworks are rooted in the techniques of the Grand Masters yet express a contemporary interpretation.
Richard’s paintings, instructional art books, and videos have created a worldwide movement inspiring others to strive for creative self-expression, regardless of their level of skill. He and his wife, artist Nancy Guzik, encouraged artists to form art groups, providing camaraderie and a bond of support with a special opportunity to learn from each other. Richard, his art, and many artists who have studied with him have helped raise funds to benefit numerous non-profits supporting organizations in need.
